Ok, admittedly we have a thing for softshell jackets here at Pacific Northwest Outfitters. That is because they are so incredibly versatile, like this one from Black Diamond. Its Teflon polyester shell material is bonded through a waterproof, breathable membrane to the inner microfleece liner to make it waterproof, windproof, 4-way stretchy and quite warm.
